4. The Demogorge - The Mighty Thor #8-9 (2012)

When Thor was murdered by his evil uncle, Cul Borson, a magical spell caused everyone in existence to forget he existed. Any god that is forgotten is transported to a realm outside time and space where they are consumed by The Demogorge. Despite his best efforts to avoid such a fate, Thor was devoured by the ungodly behemoth.
Luckily, it takes a little bit more than killing Thor and eating him to put him down for good. Once in the creature's gut, he stumbled upon The Graveyard of Gods; a place where The Demogorge erases his victims' personalities so it's easier for him to digest them. Once Thor released the prisoners from The Demogorge's defences, they regained their memories and allied with Thor. After locating the monster's heart, Thor struck it with Mjolnir, causing The Demogorge to implode. With the rest of the gods freed, Thor returned to Earth (and to life) via a conveniently placed portal.
