7. Ebony Maw - Avengers: Infinity War
Similar to his role in the comics, Ebony Maw served as Thanos' herald and the lead of the Black Order. While lacking his counterpart's hypnotic and pyrokinetic abilities, the MCU version of the villain still retained his formidable telekinetic abilities.
These powers were strong enough to overwhelm an unprepared Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Spider-Man, fling around and manipulate most materials and even restrain (an albeit weakened) Thor. He was clearly the most powerful member of the Black Order and near the top of Thanos' army, second only to the Mad Titan himself.
After stowing away on the extraterrestrial's ship in order to save an incapacitated Strange, Stark and the wall-crawler quickly realize that they cannot confront Maw in direct combat and resort to a more devious means of dealing with their foe. In true Peter Parker fashion, he devises a pop-culture driven plan to dispose of Maw by having Tony jettison him into space, where he instantly freezes.
It is a shame that he received a fairly anti-climactic death but given the wide scope of Infinity War, some plot elements had to give.
