10 Most Powerful Characters Killed By Magneto

9. Tarn The Uncaring - Loss

Ultimatum Magneto Kills Wolverine
Marvel Comics

Several Omega-Level mutants, including Storm and Iceman, from the island nations of Krakoa and Arakko terraformed the planet Mars, giving it a breathable atmosphere and the ability to sustain life. Arakko and its inhabitants were moved there and the planet took its name. Storm’s Brotherhood of Mutants, Abigail Brand’s “evil” X-Men, and Magneto also took up residence there. But things were far from harmonious.

Tarn the Uncaring was an Arakkii mutant capable of biological and genetic manipulation with a single thought. He was an unrepentant evil and violent mutant who had sat on their ruling council, called the Great Ring in the Seat of Loss, for centuries. In X-Men Red #3, that was about to change. Brand wanted a member of her X-Men on the Great Ring and had eldest Summers brother Vulcan challenge Tarn. The Arakkoan killed Vulcan in seconds, prompting Magneto to challenge him.

As soon as they enter the Circle Perilous, Magneto slams his helmet down on Tarn’s head. Magnus said that he realized that the mutant’s powers were psychokinetic in nature and that his helmet blocks mental powers. Max also points out that his helmet is metal. Tarn barely has time to let out a whimpered plea before Magneto squashes his head, killing him and taking his seat on the Great Ring.
