10 Most Powerful Characters Killed By Magneto

7. Quicksilver - House Of M

Ultimatum Magneto Kills Wolverine
Marvel Comics

The Scarlet Witch lost her mind when her children were revealed to be pieces of the demon Master Pandemonium's soul, who reclaimed them. She killed several Avengers directly and indirectly, and the hero community was deciding what to do with her when Quicksilver convinced Wanda to use her powers to create a “better world”.

She did just that, creating a world where Magneto’s family, of which she is part, was the ruling class and mutants were the dominant species. Carol Danvers became the most popular superhero in the world, Captain America was an elderly retired veteran, and there was a multitude of other changes as well. Hardly anyone remembered the change except for Layla Miller and Wolverine.

The pair began to “wake up” many of the Earth’s heroes and a violent battle began against the “House of M”. By issue #7 of the House of M, Emma Frost and Layla revealed to Magneto that it was Quicksilver behind the creation of this world. Magneto became enraged at his son for so egregiously perverting his dream and killed him by dropping the head of a Sentinel on him.

Wanda immediately resurrected Pietro and chastised her father. She then said, “Daddy…No More Mutants”, and the world turned white. When reality was restored, it was as it had always been - except 98% of the world’s mutants had lost their powers, and some, their lives.
