5. Mogo (And Ganthet) - Injustice: Gods Among Us Year 2
In the realm of comics, you are bound to find delightfully bizarre characters, and Mogo is one of them. A sentient planet, Mogo at some point joined the Green Lantern Corps but was not known for being the most outgoing being out there, what with being a living planet and all. That said, he is one of the most powerful Green Lanterns alive and it is easy to see why.
This made his death at the hands of a Yellow Lantern Superman all the more shocking in the Injustice comics series. Before encountering the now tyrannical Man of Tomorrow, Mogo proved instrumental in wiping out a significant number of Sinestro Corps members (who had allied themselves with Superman at the time) and was key in confronting the fallen hero and his villainous allies.
Unfortunately for them, Superman possessed a Yellow Lantern ring and this boosted his already considerable power and made him a threat for even Mogo himself. The Kryptonian despot used his newfound power to push Mogo (as well as Ganthet, a Guardian of the Universe who happened to be on the former) into the sun, killing them both in the process.
