Could it have been anyone else? We all know who and what Dr. Manhattan is capable of, but in case you need a reminder Doomsday Clock #9 beautifully provided us with a showcase of his abilities.

Following an explosion in Moscow that knocked Superman unconscious, nearly all of Earth's superheroes, aside from Wonder Woman and Batman, flew off to Mars to confront the source of the energy signature that injured Superman.

Upon landing, they discover Dr. Manhattan, and Guy Gardner proceeds to educate Dr. Manhattan about who they are and the villains they've defeated over the years. Just before Dr. Manhattan appears behind Guy, examines his ring and destroys it.

He quickly followed that act up by taking an assault from some of Earth's most skilled magic users, before telling them what the energy they're channeling really is and launching it back at them.

After blocking a few more attacks from Starfire, the Shazam Family and Firestorm, the rest of Earth's heroes start focusing their attacks all at once on Dr. Manhattan. Supergirl, Shazam, 3 Green Lanterns, Stargirl, Big Barda, Blue Beetle's ship and Captain Atom just manage to destroy his body before he reconstitutes it and lets out a blast powerful enough to knock them all out.

All of this was done without Dr. Manhattan so much as breaking a sweat, as during this entire battle he's more curious of the heroes' powers than anything else. If thats not power, I don't know what is.
