6. Animal Man
Oh boy, here we go. Animal Man, aka Buddy Baker, is to animals what Swamp Thing is to plants. He is the avatar of the Red, a force that connects all animals to one another.
But the the Red doesn't only encapsulate Earth, it encompasses the entire universe, and allows Buddy to channel the abilities of any animal - even extinct ones - and he can channel multiple abilities at a time.
The other important thing to note about the Red is that, because humans are also animals, we too are connected to the Red.
Why this connection is important is that it makes anyone a viable body for Buddy to transfer his consciousness into and begin turning into his own body.
A perfect example of this, was when Buddy's daughter was in danger of being killed. She used her connection to the Red to send her consciousness out into the body of a nearby fox until the danger had passed, and she could transform back into a human girl.
The only real foreseeable limit to Buddy's powers is his imagination. Technically there's nothing stopping him from reaching into the Red to try and channel the powers of a Kryptonian and mixing those powers with that of a Martian. Food for thought.
