10 Most Powerful Marvel Heroes Of All Time

9. Hercules

Although it would appear that Marvel pool most of their mythological influences from the Norse Pantheon, with Asgard's influence pervasive across the cosmos, the publisher has also dabbled in different mythology too.

One such influence is actually the Graeco-Roman pantheons, and although they tend to hold greater synonymy with DC on account of Wonder Woman, Marvel have experienced relative success when tapping into Olympus and Capitoline hill as well. The most successful character to emerge from either of those mythologies is Hercules, who has been an Avenger for decades, comparable in stature to Thor himself.

The comparisons don't end there though. Hercules is actually just as strong as the God of Thunder, with super strength his defining trait. The two have actually clashed before, ending in stalemate, but then there's also his super speed to take into account. Hercules can run as fast as a sports car, and even wields a mace not all that dissimilar in terms of power to that of Mjolnir.

He's so powerful, to the point where it's actually a little baffling that Hercules hasn't made any major waves outside of the comics, given he makes so many huge ones in them.
