Vision may not bear an Infinity Gem in the comics, but he's by no means any less powerful than his on-screen persona.
Created by the robot Ultron as a tool to destroy the Avengers, Vision is an android possessing the same brain pattern as Wonder Man, and so decides to join Earth's Mightiest Heroes as one of their more powerful allies.
Over the course of the following years, Vision matches wits and brawn with villains of various size and stature, but he's always been one of the heavy hitters no matter the scenario. He can discharge microwave radiation and has the power of flight and super-strength, and when all is said and done, if the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes fall in the battlefield, you can guarantee Vision will be the last one standing.
Of course, there's a lot more to Vision than just his power. One of the most interesting things about him is reconciling that power with his desire to be more human. Given the character's popularity, it's fair to say it's worked.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir.
