The most surreal thing about S'ym is that, when he was used in comics, he was used in a pretty major way - even at one point breaking Wolverine's adamantium claws clean off, which easily sets the demon as one of the more physically powerful villains in Marvel's roster.
S'ym was even the leader of the realm of Limbo for a while, which you'd be sure would allow him some level of prestige, but still resulted in him being mostly a background character. S'ym even became a badass cyborg, and not even that was enough to get him his dues - suggesting that he was almost fated to fall into obscurity.
