10 Most Powerful X-Men Of All Time

Another character who has only recently been discovering his potential as an Omega Level mutant is Bobby Drake. One of the original team of X-Men, the hero better known as Iceman was mainly known for looking like either Frosty the Snowman or a walking ice cube, mainly using his powers to freeze people or create a slide of the cold stuff they he surfs across.

The criteria for most Omega Level mutants is a little more than being able to spontaneously generate snowballs to chuck at Magneto's helmet, mind, which is where the new developments in Bobby's powers come in. Well, not new developments, but greater understanding of his powers. You see, Iceman doesn't technically just produce ice and snow out of nowhere. Technically, he can absorb and dispel heat energy within a mentally controlled area, and all the cold stuff is just a byproduct of that.

Since honing his abilities a little more, Bobby has found himself able to create ice-formed clones of himself that can exist and think independently of him, build entire buildings or cities just by concentrating, and is pretty much invincible; when he's in his ice form, he can reconstitute any part of his body that gets injured, and can even survive as water or vapour. As a matter of fact, the one time we got to see what would happen if he really went wild was when Emma Frost took control of Iceman's body for reasons we can't quite remember.

Complicated plot stuff, probably. Anyway, under her control, Bobby had power over all forms of moisture was able to, freeze fluids inside people's bodies, and to travel as a liquid, solid or gas. Even the combined might of all the most powerful X-Men couldn't stop him. How's that for Omega Level?
