One of the most things that's got us most excited about The Multiversity is the accompanying, crazy map of the alternate worlds and how they all relate to each other. Fans are already picking over the colourful layout, trying to discern with Earth is which and why exactly Morrison chose to place them where he did (as a man who believes in the magic of symbols - once drawing a sigil and, ahem, indulging himself whilst staring at it in order to boost sales of a comic - he definitely put some thought into it), as well as geeking out about some of the worlds he's chosen to include. One of our favourites - and most ridiculous - is Earth-51, the home of Kamandi. Kamandi: The Last Boy On Earth was the creation of Jack Kirby, the superstar artist who defined pretty much all of your favourite Marvel characters before getting totally shafted by former creative partner Stan Lee and jumping ship to their Distinguished Competition. A post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war, Kamandi had its own ridiculous map detailing its geography. Kamandi's Earth AD includes the Russian "Communi-Bear Silo State", the Siberian "Territory Of Polar Parasites" and Australia fallen to whatever the "Kangarat Murder Society" is. Oh, and another fun addition is that the Multiversity layout sees Earth-51 opposite Earth-6 - which houses the characters from the "Just Imagine Stan Lee Creates The DC Universe" series...
