10 Most Ridiculous Things Spider-Man Has Survived

2. His Eye Ripped Out And Eaten - The Other

Spider-Man Peter Parker Spider Monster

While the Spider-Man books spent decades revisiting so many of the infamous rogues who debuted during the wall-crawler's first few years, Spidey was given a major shot in the arm in 2001 with the introduction of a new, all-powerful foe named Morlun.

A vampiric being with a determined streak that even a T-800 would be envious of, Morlun is a centuries-old figure with a penchant for traversing time and space in his hunts to find and feed on those labelled as Spider-Totems - supernatural beings with certain abilities.

Spider-Man would somehow survive those initial battles with Morlun - largely thanks to a sacrifice from Ezekiel, and then a cunning plan for Peter to inject himself with radiation - but the rogue's return in 2005 was even more intense for Spidey.

Here, Morlun would deliver a brutal beating to Web-head before eerily pulling out and eating one of Parker's eyes. All of this was more than enough for Peter to have a stint at the hospital, but the beaten and broken Wall-crawler had a bizarre rejuvenation when Morlun turned up to finish off the job.

Sprouting stingers from his arms, a mutated Spider-Man pinned his foe down, before he then ripped out Morlun's throat with the set of fangs he'd just grown.
