8. The Punisher Crushed Him With A Steamroller
When Frank "The Punisher" Castle learned of a lunatic in the city hacking off the legs of gangsters, he tracked the culprit through a bootlegger tunnel.
By a complete coincidence, Wolverine found hacked legs beside another tunnel's entrance and headed down to find the one responsible. When he bumped into Castle, Wolverine assumed he was the culprit and attacked him.
To stop himself from getting killed, Castle blasted Wolvie in the face at point-blank range with a shotgun, exposing his adamantium skull.
Their fight was interrupted by an army of dwarves (no, seriously). It turns out that a vertically-challenged mobster called Tony Casino was so tired of other gangsters mocking his height, he had his associates cut off their legs.
Casino's men may be small but there are way too many for Wolverine and Castle to fight. To buy himself some time, Castle shot Wolverine in the gonads and left him to Casino's goons. While the mobster's men began sawing Wolverine's legs off, Castle kill them all with a grenade.
Although Wolverine was badly injured, he vowed to kill Castle the second he healed up. Realising that he needs a head-start to get away from Wolverine, Castle crushed him with a steamroller.
