1. Spider-Man Gives Birth To Himself
When the first Spider-Man movie came out, a big change it made to the hero was making his webshooters part of his powers rather than a device he built. Marvel decided to implement that into the comics in the weirdest way possible.
The Spectacular Spider-Man #15 introduced a new bug-themed villain called the Queen. Queen managed to easily defeat Spider-Man, but instead of killing him, she just kissed him and left.
Somehow, that kiss altered Peter's DNA. Later that night, he transformed into something a lot more spider and a lot less man. Even more horrifically, he was also pregnant. This was all apparently part of Queen's plan to create an army of spider-children.
And that's just the set up to the weird part. Spider-Spider didn't last long before it had a seizure and died. Devastated, Queen just ran off and left the giant spider corpse in the middle of her base. Then a human hand burst out of its stomach and a completely human (and naked) Peter Parker crawled out.
To summarise: Spider-Man was turned into a giant spider who was pregnant with a fully grown human version of himself who he died and gave birth to.
That was all just to explain why Peter could now shoot webs out of his wrists.
