2. Hercules
You'd figure that with the many Gods inhabiting the Marvel Universe that a demigod would fall short when it comes to power. You'd figure wrong. Hercules has been a legendary man of myth since the early days of the ancient Greeks, and has been featured as a massive character in popular culture.
Though characters like Thor have hogged the spotlight in the MU Hercules certainly has the power to hold his own against the God of thunder. In fact - like Thor - he has a bit too much power. Being an Olympian, Hercules is a true immortal. He doesn't age, is immune to disease and toxins, and cannot die by any conventional means.
On top of this, he possesses a rapid healing factor much like Wolverine's. His greatest features, however, are his superhuman strength, durability, and stamina. He is capable of lifting far over one-hundred tons with ease and has many times proven himself to be just as powerful - if not more - than other characters on this list. For instance, Hercules has held his own against both Hulk and Thor even surpassing the latter in both hand-to-hand combat and overall physical prowess.
He stopped a punch thrown by the Sentry with the palm of his hand despite Sentry's extreme power levels. That's a big deal.
Hercules is able to withstand blows from high-caliber machine guns and Thor's hammer Mjolnir without sustaining injury. He is resistant to temperature extremes and is capable of surviving in the cold vacuum of space. Nothing makes Hercules so overpowered more than his vast strength. He has lifted and tossed Godzilla who is estimated to weigh more than sixty thousand tons. Hercules has also demonstrated the ability to withstand the weight of large cities and in his most remarkable moment has held the very weight of the heavens for three hours in Atlas' place.
No matter how heavy the weight or enduring the task Hercules has proven incapable of being fatigued. While strength can be argued in the Marvel Universe I have to say there is truly no character naturally stronger than Hercules and this overpowered display is what lands him here.
