10 Most Stupidly-Overpowered Super Villains In Comics History

3. Amazo

Amazo might just look like another evil android, but there's so much more to him than that metallic exterior would imply.

Created by Professor Ivo as a means of attaining immortality, Amazo possesses the ability to analyse and attain the powers and abilities of any hero who he faces. Further to that is his ability to retain knowledge of the abilities he's absorbed, so if he were to face the entire Justice League, for instance, his power would grow exponentially.

This presents a really interesting dynamic in that it's actually beneficial for heroes to face him one-to-one, rather than as a team. Literally no one wants to come up against a villain with the tactical nous of Batman, the strength of Superman or the speed of Flash all rolled into one, because - y'know - they'd lose every time.

He actually attains godlike powers in Justice League: Unlimited, and is more a hero than a villain, but it goes to show just how powerful the character can become, given the freedom to explore his abilities fully.
