8. Eclipso
The Beast of Vengeance, the Prince of Darkness, Lladiz, the Wrath of God is easily one of the most powerful entities in DC comics. He's the arch-enemy of The Spectre, and was the original manifestation of God's vengeance.
Lladiz was the angel who caused the great flood that killed all humans other than Noah and his family, but that wasn't enough death and destruction to satisfy the manifestation of Wrath. After the Spirit of Wrath was replaced by The Spectre, Lladiz was trapped within the Heart of Darkness and hidden on the dark side of the moon, becoming Eclipso.
Eclipso is not only as powerful as The Spectre in direct confrontation, he also has the power to corrupt and control anyone who comes in contact with one of the shards of the Heart of Darkness, bringing out their worst instincts.
