10 Most Underrated Comic Books Of 2018
1. Luke Cage By David Walker
Though the tail end of the series may be the only part of it released in 2018, David Walker's stint on Luke Cage is easily one of the character's best eras, despite its complete lack of mainstream recognition.
Following the initial arc, which focused on Warhawk, and the man who gave Cage his powers, Dr. Noah Burstein, Walker took Harlem's Hero to the other side of the USA, where he faced the nefarious Ringmaster and his mind-controlled minions.
However, the peak of the series is actually found in the final issue, which acted as the creative team's farewell to the character - somewhat similarly to Bendis' more low-key final Jessica Jones book.
This story gave readers a look at an element of Cage's life which is not explored nearly enough across any media he appears in, namely his family life, and the relationship between him and his daughter, Danielle. The book is, as you may expect, a truly heartwarming tale, and most definitely worth picking up along with the rest of series itself.
