Being the second chapter of Ed Piskor's X-Men: Grand Design series, the book delivers in every way possible, with it featuring both some stunning, retro art, and a seriously brilliant classic style of writing.

This most recent story focused on one of the most famous of X-tales, namely the Dark Phoenix saga, as well as the introductions of now prominent mutants such as Wolverine, Kitty Pride and Colossus. It makes for an incredibly interesting take on the history of what is arguably Marvel's best team, and is the best place to view their best moments without encountering the original stories themselves.
