4. Lady Death
Fans of Lady Death may point to her origin as a sexual fantasy of Evil Ernie as defence of her skimpy costume, but after several redesigns and not a lot changing in the way of core concept, the whole thing feels severely past its sell by date.
She’s worn several style bikinis over the years, and while there’s nothing wrong with sexual confidence, these outfits are frankly ridiculous. With the dragon bone style costume, the shredded bikini and the constant thong underwear, she looks like she’s just fodder on a low rent metal album cover.
She’s an all powerful demon but her outfit takes away all of her agency. It’s not just the outfits but the anatomically impossible poses when she drapes herself over any available surface that all add to how hideously outdated she looks.
Her Medieval arc did eventually change her out of the bikini, but with the form fitting design and panels angled to best show off her breasts it felt so half-hearted, like they couldn’t wait to get her back in the bikini.
As the living embodiment of Death, there’s room for her to be so much more than what she currently is.
