7. The Beast (Buffyverse & Kung Fu Hustle)
There are many characters known as the Beast (indeed, there were two in the Buffyverse alone, with the hell-god Glory using it as one of her many aliases) but in this instance we'll be focusing on the Beast from Angel and the Beast from Kung Fu Hustle. These two characters couldn't be more different - one is an ancient and powerful demon from the depths of hell and the other is a mental patient who also happens to be a kung fu expert. The Beast from Angel possesses superhuman strength, stamina and durability, an armoured, rock-like hide (which can only be pierced by a piece of himself) and good command of magic and spells, which results in abilities such as life-force absorption, pyrokinesis, interdimensional travel and teleportation. Kung Fu Hustle's Beast is a legendary kung fu master who is rumoured to be the most dangerous man alive. He is freed from a mental asylum in the movie. His amazing skill is disguised by his unkempt and relatively harmless appearance.
