10 Pathetic Comic Book Villains You Just Feel Sorry For

6. Stilt Man

Ventriloquist Scarface
Marvel Comics

Wilbur Day was a scientist who invented a hydraulic ram device and used it to build a mechanical armour with telescopic legs. When the ram is activated, the legs can elongate up to 290ft, allowing the wearer to tower over others. Instead of doing anything reasonable with this technology, Day used it to become the nefarious Stilt-Man.

The weirdest thing about Stilt-Man is the tech behind his suit is REALLY impressive. His armour is layered with an adhesive so Spider-Man's webbing can't stick to it. He has tons of weapons including a stun gas, a beam blaster, and an electrical charge that shocks anyone that touches his costume. His telescopic legs are so powerful, they have knocked She-Hulk through the ground until she fell through the ceiling of a subway.

And what does Day do with this tech? He robs banks...

Here's the thing... How many banks are 290ft in the sky? Also, how can he escape from superheroes? It's not like he can hide. Having skyscraper-sized legs kinda makes him stand out.

Due to his dumb name and wasted potential, Stilt-Man is often considered the worst supervillain in Marvel.
