Jennifer-Lynn “Jennie” Hayden - the green-skinned heroine known as Jade - is the daughter of the original Green Lantern Alan Scott and Golden Age villain Rose Canton, The Thorn. Jade’s unique internal powers manifested themselves when she defended herself against a sexual assault. She is a member of the second generation of children, sidekicks, and other young heroes inspired by the Justice Society of America that created the Infinity Inc. team.

Jade briefly lost her powers but was given a Green Lantern ring by then-boyfriend Kyle Rayner, who later restored her original abilities when he possessed the near-infinite powers of Ion. Jade served as leader of the Outsiders and assisted the Green Lantern Corps. in defeating Parallax, the fear entity that had infected Hal Jordan. Jade died during the Rann-Thanagar War stopping the other dimensional Alexander Luthor from destroying the universe.

Jade returned to life with a bang when she crashed within a meteor of pure Starheart in a German forest. She was fully powered and the Starheart saved her dying father, but the circumstances of the adventure meant that she and her brother could no longer be near each other for fear of destabilizing the balance. Jennie joined the current iteration of the Justice League, but when they broke up, her light dimmed. When Doctor Manhattan erased the JSA, Jade never existed. But she may be returning soon.
