10 Powers Comic Book Characters Only Used ONCE
1. Superman - Too Many Superpowers To List
Over the years, Superman has accumulated more powers than can be counted. At one point or another, he has showcased the ability to shoot rainbows from his fingers, super-ventriloquism, and super ageing-breath to make things appear older than they are.
Sometimes, he will inexplicably demonstrate psychic powers. When he heard a phone ring in one issue, he said his “telepathic powers reveal to me that the caller is my editor". In another issue, he used telekinesis to send telegrams on an electronic typewriter.
When a mermaid asked Superman how he could communicate with her, he said he can understand any language. He never used this power ever again.
He defeated Brainiac by rubbing his hands together to create "super-friction". Brainiac pointed out "that makes no scientific sense whatsoever".
If Superman moves his hands at superspeed near his head, he can mold his face to his liking. Although this sounds like a really helpful ability, he has only used it once to turn into... a cat boxer.
However, the silliest power the Man of Steel has ever demonstrated may be his ability to shoot a tiny Superman out of his hand. I'm not sure how that power could ever be useful.
