10 Rare Comic Con Collectibles You Wish You Owned

8. Daenerys’ Dragon Eggs

Captain Marvel Lego
Entertainment Earth

Had you saved your money and not splashed out on Harley Quinn at the 2014 Comic Con, you could have netted yourself three dragon eggs for the same price of $125 one year later.

Entertainment Earth, who made the collectible, did have to state that these were replicas and not actual dragon eggs, but you can guarantee at least one person lay them in a fire hoping to hatch Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. Hopefully they didn’t get in the fire with them.

The dragon eggs are one of the most enduring images of the first season of Game Of Thrones, with their birth symbolising Daenerys’ transformation from lost little girl into queen.

Only 500 pieces were produced, each coming with a golden engraved serial number on the base, to complement the golden Targaryen seal on top.

This version isn’t for sale anymore, but Entertainment Earth have still got your back. A smaller version of the box, lined with red satin rather than gold, is coming soon on their website. This one will only set you back $109.99, and doesn’t have the drool inducing charm of being ‘rare’, both otherwise amounts to the same thing.
