In my own reading there was a lot of gasping, and a fair amount of time at night where I could not fall asleep because I kept thinking about what would happen next. Because of the way that the story teases and leaves us on cliffhangers and suspenseful moments, it's the kind of thing that you want to keep reading. This made it maddening, exhilarating, and sometimes frustrating if you had to wait for the next issue to ship (even if it was only for a month, because gosh this book hooks you like crack).
