10 Reasons To Be Excited For DC's New Age Of Heroes
2. Inferior 5
DC does Stranger Things... that's gonna be something to see!
The Inferior Five may be a classic title when it comes to DC history, but this new version will hold little in common with it.
Described by the legendary Keith Giffen, who will be on art for the book as well as co-writing, as being like Stranger Things meets Twin Peaks, it's more of an odd, horror book.
The series was (apparently) going to be written by Dan Didio, but when writer Jeff Lemire kept coming out with better ideas, he wound up being set up as the co-writer for the title.
Jeff Lemire will also be writing and drawing five page back-up features in each issue featuring Peacemaker, making this title a bit of a two-for-one.
The series is a 12 issue limited series that reimagines a group of Silver Age teen heroes and is heavily connected to eighties DC continuity. As the teens find themselves in a town after the Invasion event at DC, strange occurrences and conspiracy become rife.
If nothing else, the idea of DC doing Stranger Things and/or Twin Peaks with that creative team is enough to be excited about.
