Seven Samurai meets The Dark Tower... this could be interesting.

A very recent addition to the list of titles, this one was revealed at New York Comic Con in October.

Written by Steve Orlando and with art by Ryan Sook, the series follows a team of enemies who hate each other just slightly less than the state of the world around them. With each character apparently feeling that they have made some kind of huge mistake in their life, Orlando described the series as Seven Samurai meets The Dark Tower.

He promises a villain that will be like the DC Universe's own version of Randall Flag. The team facing him is made up of Neon the Unknown, a blind artist, Firebrand, a first responder who must get into a fight every 24 hours, Viking Judge, a woman connected to her axe and lives of her ancestors and that Orlando describes as 'Brienne of Tarth inside the head of someone from Girls', and the Ascendant, from a secret race of orcs.

Looking to be strange and creative, this series could promise to be the new book that takes advantage of comics' ability to be wild and crazy and tackle bizarre ideas.
