7. Trust Issues
Besides one hardened butler, Bruce trusts nobody, including himself. Along with the Babel protocol (more on that later), Batman even has a plan for when he goes rogue. The Batman of Zur-En-Arhh programmed to take over his mental welfare if needed.
With the exception of Damian Wayne, no Robin has ever had the level of distrust Batman has. The only faith the caped crusader has is the faith in his own abilities. While Damian softened on his trust issues after an extended period with the Titans and Superman's son, Batman continued to stay in his cave brooding and plotting his next moves, alone.
Countless times Bruce has played the Bat-family to his own ends and seemingly allowed them to be a part of the team. The truth is however, that any kind of acceptance of help and trust is 99 percent of the time, a ploy just to keep any 'sidekick' out of Bruce's way while he goes solo.
Trust is earned, and throughout DC history its hard to keep track of the amount of times this kind of manipulation has ended in someone getting their trust in Batman irrevocably broken.
By putting a little faith in others, the Robins have formed healthy relationships and formed friendships that have ensured in any solo situation, so they always have backup they can call upon if in danger of having their wings clipped.
