10 Reasons Why Robin Is The Hero Gotham Deserves
5. Leading a Team Successfully
One of the defining characteristic of Batman is not playing well with others. He may be a founding member of the Justice League, but regularly hands back his membership with one reason after another.
The Tower of Babel event drove this point home even further, when his closest allies found there was a contingency plan to take out any member of the team if they were to turn on the public they strive to protect. This paranoia drove the team apart, and very nearly proved fatal to all members of the Justice League.
This idea is also something the 3rd Robin, Tim Drake, adapted. However, he has never had it used against him and Tim, Damian and Dick successfully moved away from the Bat to lead the Teen Titans. In fact, as time developed, all members became less of a strategic outfit and more of a family trusting each other implicitly.
Most members of the Bat Family trust Batman, but Bruce ensures they flourish without him as he maintains as much distance as possible.
