7. They Have Morals
A superhero by definition is a hero with superhuman powers, so often nowadays, comics show characters with super-powers, not superheroes. In this X-Men run, the X-Men were superheroes. These characters clearly have flaws, but they are also clearly heroic, and have characteristics to aspire to. Time and time again, these X-Men show courage, compassion, integrity, leadership and discipline. The comics are written in such a way that it isnt preachy; these X-Men are the kind of characters that you look up to.
