Estimated wealth: $100bn In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark's worth sits at the comparative pittance of $3 billion. Things are a lot brighter for Iron Man in the comic books, meanwhile, where Stark Industries is the leading provider of...well, seemingly everything. When he isn't in shellhead mode, jetting about fighting villains with repulsor rays, Stark puts his considerable intelligence to working on breakthroughs in almost every field, meaning that his company owns enough patents that they could fund themselves on the billions they bring in without needing to innovate any further. But innovate Iron Man does, and with good reason. After all, not only do his cutting edge suits of armour cost a pretty penny - and considering how often they get banged up, exploded, or possessed by a malevolent computer virus, he builds a lot of them - but in the comic books, he pretty much funds the Avengers entirely out of his own pocket. Those Quinjets don't come cheap. Even if you're the one who builds them.
