9. Professor X

Estimated wealth: $3.5bn Charles Xavier had a very, very different childhood compared to Magneto's (maybe that's the real reason for all the animosity between the pair?) Where his frenemy had to struggle in the horrors of World War II-era Germany, Professor X was raised in the lap of luxury, thanks to his father's important work researching nuclear power - which may have caused his son's mutations but whatever - which he later inherited, along with the big-ass mansion that he later turned into his school for Gifted Students. Mutants. Gifted Students means mutants. Of course, between constructing the Danger Room training facility, the high-tech Blackbird jet and all those sweet costumes, that inheritance couldn't have lasted long, right? Well, Professor X made some shrewd investments over the years - no doubt helped by his psychic powers that let him see when a businessman was BSing - and considering the amount of students who have passed through his school's halls, even if they're paying the bare minimum, will have got him some serious bank in tuition fees. Does it still count if he's technically dead at the moment? Eh, he'll be back to claim his estate soon enough.
