Estimated wealth: $35bn The Fantastic Four's arch nemesis most dastardly plan was codenamed "Massive Wealth Destruction", which aimed to reduce the world's population to penniless paupers...wait, sorry, that was a prediction made by Marc Faber, real-life financial guru who has the confusing nickname of Dr Doom. Thanks a lot, Google. Okay, so the "real" Dr Doom - which is to say, the fictional one - is one of the smartest men in the Marvel Universe so, if you ignore the megalomaniacal madness, he has probably made some shrewd business decisions in his day. He might not be quite at the "hundreds of billions" he values himself, but he's not far off. And he needs all that money, not only to get one up on that blasted Richards, but also so that he can keep the economy in his native Latveria afloat. We say "native", Latveria is actually the Eastern European country that he rules with a literal iron fist. So owning a country helps with your portfolio, and even more so if its occupants are all still alive (sorry, Magneto). Not only that, but Doom has built a legion of robots in his image, which hints at some serious funding behind the scenes. Oh and he has a time machine. So whenever the coffers are getting a little empty, he could just nip back to King Arthur's treasure chest and pick out a few choice pieces to pawn in the modern day.
