Estimated wealth: $75bn Superman's greatest enemy is blessed with only one superpower with which to compete against the Man of Steel's flight, strength and heat vision: mad bank. From his very first appearance Lex Luthor was a business magnate to be reckoned with, a power-mad investor who had fingers in every pies, but mainly the pies that involved inventing technology that could be used to off Superman at some point. Despite his notable animosity against Metropolis's greatest champion, Luthor has seen his investments pay off in dividends, and is always ready to jump on the next opportunity. Over the years LexCorp has diversified into everything from chemicals to oil to communications to air travel, so he's essentially the DC Universe's equivalent of Richard Branson. Only without the hair, unless you're thinking of Gene Hackman's flowing ginger locks in the Christopher Reeve films, in which case he's the exact equivalent of Richard Branson. Oh yeah, and he was once President of the United States, following a successful campaign he funded himself. And they do not come cheap.
