10 Ridiculous Superhero Vehicles You Won't Believe Exist
7. The Fantasticar
Any fan of the Fantastic Four likely loves the Fantasticar, as it's been something of a fifth member of the team since it was first introduced in 1962. Back then, it was a great concept for getting the team around, as only two of them could fly about on their own, but it's never really adapted to the times.
They tried to make it cool in the Fantastic Four movies, but whether that worked or not is really each viewer's opinion. Over in the comics, the vehicle has remained about the same since it was introduced more than fifty years ago.
It's a jet that features seats for each member of the team, and each segment can detach from the main, so it's more like four vehicles in one. One of the biggest issues people have had with it throughout the years is the fact that it always kind of looks like four flying bathtubs joined together.
It's one of those things that works really well in practice, but its design is kind of silly and doesn't make much sense. Detaching large parts of a single aircraft wouldn't work like this in reality, and while comics aren't necessarily grounded in realism, the Fantasticar crosses the line a bit too much now that it's the 21st century.
