10 Ridiculous Superhero Vehicles You Won't Believe Exist

4. Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet

Wonder Woman has a few items that have been associated with her over the years, including her bracers, headband, iconic costume, Lasso of Truth, and of course, her invisible jet. The aircraft was created on Paradise Island, and as the name implies, it is completely invisible.

Cloaking devices usually make sure the passengers are also invisible, or they wouldn't be very effective. After all, if you can see someone sitting comfortably while flying through the air, it's not really stealthy, but seeing as that wouldn't work in comics, it's at least understandable why she was drawn like that.

The cartoons always had the white outline of the jet with Wonder Woman completely visible, so the Invisible Jet really is that — only everything inside the cockpit doesn't benefit from the same ability, which makes it woefully ineffective.

What's more, it would be impossible to fly without being able to see any of the controls, leaving nothing more than a giant invisible jet-powered accident waiting to happen. On the one hand, this worked when Wonder Woman wasn't able to fly, but after George Perez rebooted her in 1987, it's no wonder he gave her the power of flight to rid the comics of this ridiculous contraption, once and for all.
