10 Saga Moments That Shocked The World

As the final two issues before Saga's long-term hiatus, we all knew something serious was gonna go down in issues 53 and 54 of the series.

What nobody was expecting, however, was for them to contain wall-to-wall murders of some of the comic's biggest characters.

This begins with the death of Prince Robot - now demoted to Sir Robot - in issue 53, where he joins the ranks of those who've had their heads exploded by The Will.

Without even giving you time to process his death, Marko - who, again, is one third of the most important characters in the whole comic - is then also killed by The Will, who stabs a hole in his torso with what remains of his damaged blade.

Though characters have been brought back from the brink before, our robo-pal did have his head literally exploded, so the chances of him coming back seem pretty monumentally low. As for Marko, we can only hope that he comes back in some form - although it's far, far more shocking to think about the fact he might not.
