10 Strangest Jack Kirby Creations

4. Crazy Quilt

Crazy Quilt 02 Crazy Quilt is a painter who leads a double life as a master criminal, first appearing in 1946€™s Boy Commandos #15 and later becoming an antagonist of Batman. Leaving clues for his henchman in his artwork, Crazy Quilt plans elaborate criminal heists. However, after being double-crossed by one of his lackeys and taking a gunshot wound to his eyes, he loses his ability to see. He undergoes a procedure to repair his vision, but it unfortunately only enables him to see extremely bright colors. This drives him mad and ultimately thrusts him into a more dastardly life of crime. Other than being crazy, he lacks any kind of super abilities, save for a helmet that emits colorful lights that can control other people or, if he feels like it, throw a really good rave.
