10 Stupidest Avengers Of All Time

8. Rage

Although the premise behind Rage isn't all that bad, it's fair to say that his time on the Avengers was something to forget.

A child left forever changed by a tragic accident, Elvin Daryl Haliday undergoes an accelerated ageing process, irreversibly changing into an adult with the powers of super strength, speed and durability. He obviously forgot to mention that he was only a teenager though, as the Avengers accepted him onto the team only after his second or third appearance as a crimefighter.

When Cap does find out, however, that Rage isn't as old as he purports to be, he boots him off the team and places him on the Avengers' youth equivalent. While he'd take time to adjust, Haliday would eventually mature into a well-rounded superhero, one with a destiny to carve out away from Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

That doesn't detract from the fact that he was a pretty poor Avenger though, and while he's since gone on to pastures new, that period where he was on the team doesn't make for great reading.
