10 Superhero Comic Deaths (That Didn't Mean Anything)

5. The Wasp

The Wasp is mostly known for being an Avenger and the wife of Giant Man, Ant Man, Yellow Jacket€ whatever. She has been an Avenger for decades, fighting within the epic battles of Secret Wars, Civil War, struggles with Ultron, Thanos and almost everything else that has plagued the Marvel Universe. The Wasp also met her end in the last issue of Secret Invasion. During the event, the Skrulls invade Earth, masking themselves as superheroes after abducting many Avengers. Janet, playing hero, steals Pym Particles from the Skrulls (the Particles are what give Giant Man his powers). Unknown to her, the particles turn her into a living bomb, making her grow out of control. Thor uses his trusty hammer to create a warp-hole and save the day. Years later, Brian Bendis was finishing his record-run on Avengers and New Avengers, or however many Avengers titles there were at the time. And within the last few issues, it was discovered that The Wasp was actually trapped within a molecular world inside of Central Park. Two or three issues after the discovery, BOOM, The Wasp is back. End of story.
