10 Superhero Costume Redesigns That Were Laughably Misjudged

4. Emma Frost (Uncanny)

Now, Emma Frost isn't exactly known for her conservative fashion sense, but her redesign by Chris Bachalo in the pages of Uncanny X-Men reaches new levels of unnecessary flesh-flaunting. This outfit would be fine in a kink store, but it's likely not all that useful when fighting the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or Sentinels. Say what you will about most of Frost's old outfits, at least there was some sense of logic to them. As in, she actually wore bras that might realistically stay on and offer some kind of support, whereas her current get-up shows off her belly and breasts at the expense of a top that no real-life woman could actually pull off without great discomfort. And the flesh on show above and below her crotch only serves to draw attention exactly to the one area that's covered up best. Classy move, Marvel. At least Cyclops is probably comfortable in his onesie.
