10 Superheroes Who Are Too Arrogant For Their Own Good
10. Batman
In some ways, Batman is entitled to a little arrogance. As one of the few non-powered superheroes in the DC Universe, Batman has established a reputation as one of the most smartest and skilled individuals on the planet. Not only is he at his physical peak and capable of holding his own against many forms of super-powered villainy, but the man is a master strategist. Hes three steps ahead of everyone and has a contingency for most threats, including if his own teammates go rogue (see Tower of Babel). Its understandable given the tragedy hes endured in his life. Hes trained himself to be self-reliant. However, his cold nature also works against him. Despite being a part of many teams, Batman trusts very few people. In his mind, he is the only one that is capable of solving complex problems. True, he knows whom to turn to for help most of the time, but there have been instances where he might have been able to take down a threat quicker if he had asked for assistance. Plus, he has the tendency to assume hes right about everything. Spoiler alert, Bats. Were all human, and we make mistakes. Hell, Supermans an alien and hes made plenty of mistakes. An honorable mention goes out to those fans who believe that Batman can beat Superman in any circumstance. Look guys, if Batman has significant prep time and builds the high-tech armor filled with Kryptonite, then he stands a chance, but if its just a guy wearing a mask and utility belt vs. an alien with super strength and heat vision, the alien clearly wins.
