10 Superheroes Screwed Over By Reboots

9. Jaime Reyes

Flash Reboot
DC Comics

While Jaime Reyes has been treated by DC outside of the comics as one of the best character they've ever created (which he is) the comics themselves have not really been kind to him. After the excellent Giffen and Rogers run in the late 2000's, Jaime had to live on through backup stories in the pages of Booster Gold, and while those were all well and good, then came the New 52. And this is where the problems arise.

See, like most of the rebooted series in the New 52, ESPECIALLY the bad ones, the writers behind the new Blue Beetle series couldn't decide whether to continue with business as normal, or make something completely new. Because of this, the New 52 version of Jaime just kinda meanders around, completely lacking the spark and wit that made the original run so fun.

The last time we even saw Jaime before the Rebirth series was in a super obscure DC cosmic book you've definitely never heard of where he was just a one off joke.
