10 Superheroes With Shockingly Deadly Powers

8. Flash

Invisible Woman

Barry Allen is the Fastest Man Alive and as such, he should be the death of every normal person close to him. He is a complete impossibility and how he hasn’t gone insane dealing with people moving at “normal” speed is the most unrealistic thing about his comic. Barry has moved faster than an attosecond. That is one quintillionth of a second. He has even run on photons. (Side note -how does a guy with an ice gun and a parka give him trouble?)

Barry Allen perceives the world as if it were in slow motion. So, unlike the scene in The Boys, if Barry were to run through someone rendering them nothing but a red mist, he would have meant to do that. Through the use of his speed, the flash can generate kinetic lightning to stun an opponent or worse if he chooses and he once accelerated the molecules of a helicopter blade to cause it to instantly disintegrate. Imagine what that might do to human flesh.

With Flash’s speed, he can phase himself and others through walls but nothing says he couldn’t let go part of the way through. But the cruellest death would come from Barry’s ability to travel unaided through time. The Flash could leave a foe at any of the worst parts of human history. World War I, the Black Death, or as proof that man and dinosaurs could never co-exist.

John Wilson has been a comic book and pop culture fan his entire life. He has written for a number of websites on the subject over the years and is especially pleased to be at WhatCulture. John has written two comic books for Last Ember Press Studio and has recently self-published a children's book called "Blue." When not spending far too much time on the internet, John spends time with his lovely wife, Kim, their goofy dog, Tesla, and two very spoiled cats.
