10 Superman Villains Too Crazy For Batman V Superman
7. Microwave Man
The Villain: One of Superman’s first super-villains, Lewis Pagett found a way to harness microwaves and use them for crime. Before his initial spree of robberies could continue, aliens took notice of his creation and invited him to travel the universe with them. Returning to Earth as an old man, he used the aliens’ power to have one final fight with Superman before he died.
Though he only appeared in two issues, the story of Microwave Man was so stupendous and memorable that his legacy still carries on.
Why He Wouldn’t Work In The Film: It’s important to remember that even though Superman himself is an alien, it’s still a fairly silly notion for a villain gain his powers via alien abduction.
In fairness, Microwave Man is exactly why comics exist, he's a fanciful villains that belong is a more fantasy-oriented world. Unfortunately, he hasn’t aged well either since, at the time of his creation, microwave technology was still a novelty. Now, it’s an old, familiar discovery that would just seem stupid to see highlighted in a film, especially if it required aliens to make it a serious threat.
