6. Silver Banshee
The Villain: After a failed supernatural ritual, Gaelic clan leader Siobhan McDougal was sucked into the netherworld and transformed into something inhuman. She’s offered the chance to return to the world, but only if she can deliver an occult book to her demon captors. Naturally, that book in question now resided in Metropolis.
Under the guise of the Silver Banshee and sporting an otherworldly shriek, she would repeatedly plague Metropolis trying to retrieve the book and restore herself.
Why She Wouldn’t Work In The Film: Silver Banshee has appeared in live action in the much-maligned series Smallville and it went over about as well as expected. The character simply looks unbelievable in real life and her ancient Gaelic origins in no way fit with Superman’s mythology or the type of film that Zack Snyder is creating.
There could definitely be a welcome opportunity for Superman to face off against a female villain on screen but the sonic shrieking Silver Banshee is probably not the best choice to fulfill that role.
