Marvel Comics

In the year 2000, Marvel created a separate reboot of their comics called Ultimate Marvel. In this version, many characters were depicted differently, including Reed Richards. The accident that granted the Fantastic Four their powers replaced all of Reed's organs with a bio-stack.

This means that Reed doesn't require any form of sustenance, whether it is food, water, air, heat, or sleep. In fact, Reed doesn't consider himself to be alive since he doesn't have conventional organs.

Sadly, this Reed went insane and turned into a supervillain called The Maker. He incased him inside a dome which exists in its own timestream. Although several months went by in the real world, over a millennium passed inside the dome. Since Reed's unique physiology renders his cells incapable of entropy, he hadn't aged a day.

This Reed spent a thousand years experimenting with his powers, granting him new abilities. He can stretch his synapses so he can think faster, making his mind work like a computer.

He can use his stretching abilities to split himself into several Reeds so he can fight multiple enemies simultaneously. He can tap into the consciousness of the Reed Richards of any universe and teleport there in an instant.
