10 Supervillains Who Made Other Supervillains

3. Daken (Created By Romulus)

Absolute Carnage
Marvel Comics

Thousands of years ago, Romulus carved a legacy for himself when built the great city of Rome. Ever since, the original wild man has spent his time shaping global events from the shadows.

After several millennia, Romulus grew weary and began seeking a potential heir. Even though he considered Wolverine for the mantle, Romulus thought it best if his successor was prepared from birth.

After Wolverine's pregnant wife was killed, Romulus delivered the baby, Akihiro, and raised him in secret. Even though Wolverine didn't know his son was alive, Romulus brainwashed Akihiro into thinking his father left him to die. Taking on the name, Daken, he vowed to destroy his father's life.

After Daken realised he had been exploited, Wolverine assumed he would turned against Romulus. However, Daken became so disillusioned, he felt incapable of trusting anyone and so, turned his back on the world.

Daken occasionally teams up with the X-Men but the mohawk-sporting mutant has no loyalties and will betray anyone if it suits his needs. Even though Daken has been been playing nice recently by working with the House of X on Krakoa, it's only a matter of time before he once again reveals his true colours.
